Some months move quietly… and some arrive with a full heart and a full calendar, reminding us why we do this work.
This season has been one of those beautiful, busy chapters for Mujeres Omega Foundation. A chapter filled with learning, joy, culture, and community building no just in Edmonton but across continents.
We began with gratitude, receiving the wonderful news that AWSN has once again invested in our mission, supporting the next edition of Building Bridges 2026. Their belief in our vision fuels programs that uplift girls, mothers, and women in STEM, and we are deeply thankful.

We then celebrated culture and identity during Latin American Heritage Month at Edmonton City Hall, alongside Mi Gente Canada Foundation. We were also honored to join the 4th Annual Building Inclusive Communities Forum with Action for Healthy Communities Society of Alberta — a reminder that when one voice rises, many rise with it.

And then came our busiest day yet, October 18th was a day full of creativity, curiosity, and sisterhood:
Morning:
A magical Halloween-themed Kids & Moms workshop at Felice Café, in partnership with Crafting & Creations by Shirley. Tiny hands, imaginative minds, and mothers reconnecting through play and art — these are the moments that shape childhood memories and family bonds.

Afternoon:
We switched gears to STEM joy as we launched a special “Let’s Make Robots!” edition of Building Bridges, in collaboration with Strathcona Robotics Club and supported by AWSN. Seeing girls explore robotics with curiosity and confidence was a powerful reminder that representation and access change futures.

Throughout the month of October, we also held space for well-being and emotional connection:
Mindful Connections returned, hosted inside the peaceful Salt Chamber at Hyperbaric Health Spa, where women gathered to breathe, release, and reconnect with themselves and each other.

Across the ocean, ExpressARTE came alive again in Pamplona, Spain, with a beautiful watercolor workshop — proof that our community is borderless and our mission travels wherever our women gather.

And in the midst of all this movement, we paused to honor an important cause:
Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Because empowerment is also about awareness, health, and supporting each other through every season of life.
Moving With Purpose
This chapter has been full — not just in schedule, but in meaning.
Every workshop, gathering, and collaboration is a reminder: when women come together, we build more than programs — we build belonging, confidence, and future paths.
To everyone who attended, collaborated, volunteered, or simply shared a kind word — thank you. You are part of this story.
And as we prepare for the next season, our hearts remain anchored in the same truth:
Empower a woman, strengthen a family.
Strengthen families, transform communities.
The movement continues. And it is beautiful to see it grow — one connection, one story, one workshop at a time.
