Creative Play & Wellness Workshops for Latina Families
Kids & Moms is a creative wellness program by Mujeres Omega Foundation designed for Latina mothers and children ages 3–12.
Through play, creativity, art, and shared experiences, families are invited into welcoming community spaces where they can slow down, connect, and build meaningful memories together.
Hosted monthly at Felice Café in Edmonton, these workshops encourage emotional wellbeing, cultural connection, imagination, and family bonding through hands-on activities designed to nurture both children and mothers.
About the Program
Kids & Moms was created to highlight the importance of play as a foundation for children’s holistic development and as a form of preventive wellbeing for mothers.
Through guided play, creative activities, and shared experiences, children strengthen emotional, social, and creative skills while mothers are given intentional opportunities to connect, be present, and engage alongside their children.
At its core, Kids & Moms recognizes that:
- Play supports children’s emotional and mental wellbeing
- Shared creative experiences strengthen family connection
- Community spaces reduce isolation and encourage belonging
- Mothers also benefit emotionally when they participate in play and creativity with their children
This program offers a simple but meaningful space where Latina families can nurture relationships, creativity, and wellbeing together.
Who the Program Is For
Kids & Moms welcomes:
- Latina mothers and children ages 3–12
- Families seeking creativity, connection, and quality time together
- Families looking for culturally welcoming community spaces
- Children of all creative abilities and experience levels
No prior experience is needed. Activities are designed to be accessible, inclusive, playful, and welcoming.

- Creative play and art-based activities
- Painting and hands-on crafts

- Relaxed café community environment

Workshops are intentionally designed to encourage imagination, emotional wellbeing, confidence, creativity, and joyful family interaction.

Registration is donation-based and required through Eventbrite.
